An expert in copper alloys that supports industry through difficult processing and contributes to low-carbon energy infrastructure
Araki Seisakusho Co., Ltd. was founded in May 1955 in Mizuho Ward, Nagoya City, when the founder converted the six-tatami room of his home into a factory. Since then, for approximately 70 years, we have operated a cutting business that puts the customer first.
When we first started our business, we used general-purpose lathes to manufacture automobile parts, but as the times changed, we introduced NC lathes and machining centers, and now we produce machined parts for a variety of industries, including automobile parts, construction machinery parts, and machine tool parts. We can handle a wide range of needs, from processing a few prototypes to mass production of several thousand pieces.
“Araki Manufacturing Co., Ltd. for when you are in trouble” is proud of its technological capabilities.
At Araki Seisakusho, we perform a variety of metal processing, focusing on cutting copper alloys, which are prone to product distortion and tool wear, and machining brass, titanium alloys, and stainless steel, which are known to be difficult-to-cut materials, and have established our position as ``Araki Seisakusho'' when you are in trouble. In addition to our own technical capabilities, we have a network for welding, sheet metal processing, plating, and hardening processing, and we manage everything from material procurement to cutting, grinding, and post-processing, reducing the burden on our customers.
Active efforts to process difficult shapes
At Araki Seisakusho, we are actively working on metal processing, mainly half-shaped plain bearings, as well as processing of difficult shapes. Half bearings are increasingly being adopted as bearings for wind power generation, and product quality requires extremely strict dimensional accuracy, including parallelism of ±0.005, roundness, and flatness. However, our skilled craftsmen are able to meet these strict demands by using the techniques they have cultivated over many years. In addition, using our unique technology, we manufacture floating seals that combine copper alloy, which is a difficult-to-cut material, and halved metal processing, which is difficult to shape. It is used globally as a plain bearing component for general industrial use.
Manufacturing that contributes to a sustainable society
By designing and manufacturing all of the jigs and tools we use in-house, we can significantly shorten the lead time from quotation to finished product. Through this efficient manufacturing, we are able to effectively utilize resources and respond to the diverse needs of our customers in a one-stop manner.
In addition, by leveraging the technological capabilities, integrated production system, and multi-skilled employees that we have cultivated over many years of working with copper alloys, we have begun efforts to build a low-carbon energy infrastructure through copper alloys, which have excellent energy transmission. Through these activities, we will contribute to the realization of Goal 7 of the SDGs, ``Affordable and clean energy,'' and contribute to the creation of a sustainable society.
